IGNOU launched a new course: Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Applications (PGDCA)



Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), a new course, has been launched by the IGNOU's School of Computer and Information Sciences (SOCIS). The seats for the admission will be available from January 2020 admission cycle. The main aim of the program to help graduates prepare for a productive career in the software industry. The university said that it aims to provide students with a sound background in practical applications of computer application development.In a statement, the university said: “the program emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications or networking and commercial problems.”The program is stand-alone with 12 courses worth 36 credits and has been designed with a semester approach in mind. The medium of instruction of the course will be English and the duration will be a minimum of one year and maximum of 4 years.There will be two examinations every year. One will be in the month of June (January-June semester) and other will be in December (July-December semester).
